ACTIVITIES

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

All students participate in a Physical Education (PE) program where they develop their motor skills, team building abilities, and positive sportsmanship. The goal is that all students will adopt a physically active lifestyle. TIA utilizes a PE program that is aligned with the Physical Education Framework for California Public Schools. Students participate in the allocated minutes set forth in the framework on a weekly basis to meet the state’s physical education requirements.

LEADERSHIP

Students at TIA are able to be part of student leadership, starting in 5th grade, where they can learn about responsibility, accountability, and self confidence. Students are given the opportunity to be elected to a leadership body where they help and plan school functions and events, support the various classes, make posters and advertise for ongoings of the school, and share out ideas with staff and the Falcon Parent Committee (FPC). Through these experiences, students have the opportunity to develop their leadership capacities and learn valuable skills and abilities to help them be more prepared for secondary education and future experiences.

DINE-OUT FUNDRAISERS

Each month, TIA offers an opportunity for our community to connect off campus at various restaurant locations in Temecula. These Dine-Out fundraisers are a great way to be involved with the school and give back to support field trips, and other school needs. We love getting to see our Falcon Families after school and share a meal. We appreciate your support in helping our school and community continue to flourish and grow

FALCON FUN FRIDAYS

In order to spend some fun quality time with our Falcon Families, each month we hold a Falcon Fun Friday activity in the community. There are so many great places to see in the Inland Valley, and we love to to give back to our neighborhood and have a lot of fun too. Some events we’ve done in the past include: Vail Headquarters, Round One Bowling and Arcade, Uptown Jungle, Peltzer Farms, and many more. Our staff loves getting to hang out with our students, and with a minimum day, we get to spend more time around the community. We cannot wait to start these awesome events once more, and we hope that you’ll join us.

ROBOTICS PROGRAM

TIA has received a science grant that will allow the school to facilitate an after-school robotics program for our middle school students. This program will provide the opportunity to work with coding programs, through Amazon and LEGO, to create their own system for operating a robot. Students will learn to use EV3 programming and work closely with instructions to complete missions from the software.
